Down Hall is a four star Italian style mansion with a history dating back to 1540. Located on Hatfield Health, the hotel is set in 110 acres of beautiful woodland, park and landscaped gardens. In the main house there are 50 rooms including eight beautifully decorated bedrooms with stunning views over the garden and woodlands, including two poster bedrooms, four poster bedrooms and junior suites with balconies. The west wing offers 50 spacious bedrooms decorated to a very high standard. All the rooms have twin or double beds with bathroom telephones, cable television, Internet connections and views over the grounds.
The sumptuous surroundings of the main lounge with its fine furnishings, antiques, brilliant chandeliers and exquisite tapestries offer a warm ambience in which to relax. Diners have a choice between The Grill Room, offering a table d'hote menu, or Ibbetson's, with its refined ? la carte cuisine. A cocktail bar provides an ideal atmosphere in which to unwind with colleagues or friends. Other hotel facilities include heated indoor pool, jetted tub and sauna. Outside recreation on offer comprise of a croquet lawn, putting green and tennis courts. The hotel is just nine miles from London Stansted Airport and is accessible via the M11 and M25 motoways.
