Location. The Orange Lake Resort & Country Club is located in Kissimmee, Fla., less than three miles from Disney's Animal Kingdom. The resort is four miles from the Walt Disney World Resort and less than five miles from Disney's Wide World of Sports. Epcot and Disney's Magic Kingdom are five miles from the property.
Features. This resort consists of four separate villages spread across more than 1,250 acres. Restaurants at the resort include the River Island Grilling Company, which features grilled seafood, steaks, an extensive wine and martini list, and the Tradewinds outdoor bar. A pizzeria and the Kemmon's Place steak house are located in the West Village Clubhouse. The Terrace Cafe offers sandwiches and grilled specialties outdoors overlooking the Splash Lagoon. The Beachfront Bar & Grill, located in the pool complex looking out over the lake, offers drinks, lunch, dinner and entertainment under the stars. Two bars, two grill pubs and a sports bar are also available at the property. The resort offers a business center with meeting rooms and an adjacent Internet caf?. Business services include computer stations with high speed Internet access, fax and photocopy services, and a digital photo center. A movie theater, 54 holes of championship golf and two 18 hole miniature golf courses are located at the resort. The resort offers a private sandy beach on the 80 acre lake. The fully equipped fitness center offers classes. Kid friendly amenities include three arcades, a family fun center, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, and children's pools. Pets are not allowed at the property.
Guestrooms. Villas and suites at the Orange Lake Resort & Country Club feature Floridian decor with vibrant colors. All units offer dining rooms and kitchens with refrigerators, stoves, microwave ovens, toasters, coffeemakers, cookware and dinnerware. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee. Accommodations at the resort are equipped with cable television and VCRs. Washers and dryers are provided in one and two bedroom villas. Standard rooms and one bedroom clubhouse suites are located in the West Village Clubhouse.
Expert Tip. River Island, a water park spanning over 12 acres in the Orange Lake Resort & Country Club, features a lazy river with two beach style pools at each end, spa tubs, waterfalls and shopping kiosks.
