Location. The Daisy Polk Inn is located in the Oaklawn/Turtle Creek area of Dallas, Texas. Cedar Springs Road, which offers several restaurants and shops, is one block from the property. Robert E. Lee Park is one half mile from the bed and breakfast. This bed and breakfast is within three miles of the Dallas Market Center, McKinney Avenue Trolley, the "Terrortorium", Thanksgiving Square and the Dallas World Aquarium.
Features. The inn occupies a restored Arts and Crafts home, built in 1904 for an opera singer named Daisy Polk. Complimentary continental breakfasts, including freshly baked muffins and scones, are provided each morning. The Daisy Polk Inn is filled with antiques from Europe and the northeastern United States. The innkeeper at this bed and breakfast speaks French, as well as English. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. All guest accommodations at The Daisy Polk Inn include private bathrooms, and are furnished with antique pieces. Guestrooms feature 100 percent cotton linens and bedding. Expert Tip. Wayne Falcone purchased the Daisy Polk Inn in 1996 and began an extensive restoration with the assistance of Gerald Tomlin and Associates. The renovated home features the same Arts and Crafts period colors for the interior walls, wall paper and draperies as when the home was originally built. The bed and breakfast is decorated by antiques from Europe and Northeastern United States.
