The Metropolitan Hotel Hilton Head is located on the south end of Hilton Head Island, S.C., across the street from Forest Beach. Coligny Beach Park and Coligny Plaza feature restaurants, shops, a theater and a duck pond two miles away. Golf is available at eight courses less than two miles from the resort. Public tennis courts are within one half mile of the hotel.
Built in the 1990s, this hotel offers two conference rooms with a combined total of 1,300 square feet of meeting space. An outdoor pool is featured. In season, the hotel provides golf cart transportation to the beach. Bike rentals are available. Laundry facilities are provided on site. Pets are not allowed at the property.
All accommodations offer 25 inch televisions with premium cable channels. Refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffeemakers are provided in all units. Accommodations with kitchenettes are also equipped with two burner stoves, cookware and utensils.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations in the lobby and the hallways in the main building. To avoid inconveniences with the noise, construction will be from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. The estimated completion date is December 2008. This date is subject to change.
