Location. The Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa is located in Boyne Falls, Mich., south of Petoskey. Deer Lake Beach is one mile from the hotel. The Avalanche Bay Indoor water park and Boyne Mountain Ski Hill are adjacent to this Michigan hotel. The 88,000 square foot water park is connected to the hotel and is open year round. The water park includes a children's pool, hot tubs and a lazy river. Snow skiing at the mountain is provided with downhill runs for all levels of experience.
Hotel Features. This Swiss Austrian style hotel houses the 18,000 square foot Solace Spa. Spa services include hot stone massages, facials and waxing. The fitness center offers personal trainers, Pilates and yoga sessions. The Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa houses four eateries. The Apres Pub is attached to the indoor water park and serves beer, wine and light fare. The Das Caf? serves coffee, soda, ice cream and muffins. Trophy Room Pizza serves light Italian fare. Everett's Restaurant offers views of the grounds and mountain and serves regional fish and game. This hotel can provide up to 37,000 square feet of function space. Custom wrought iron gates and hand painted murals are featured in the hotel.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa include cable access with 54 inch plasma televisions. Complimentary newspapers are provided. Wireless Internet access is available. Guestrooms are equipped with kitchenettes including microwave ovens, coffeemakers and refrigerators. Guestrooms include bathrobes and vanities. Room service is available. D?cor in the guestrooms features carved wood furnishings and cuckoo clocks. Custom furniture and is featured in the guestrooms, including Desks with chairs. Some guestrooms feature balconies.
Expert Tip. Everett's Restaurant is named for the hotel's founder Everett Kircher. In 1947, he paid $1 for the land to start development of his Boyne hotel.
