Location. The Ridge Tahoe, a mountaintop resort with panoramic views of Nevada's expansive Carson Valley, is positioned adjacent to the Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe, Nev. Guests access the ski slopes via a two minute ride on the resort's own eight person gondola, which transports skiers and snowboarders to Heavenly Ski Resort's Stagecoach Lodge and the ski resort's chairlifts. The excitement of South Shore's casino nightlife, Lake Tahoe's beaches, and the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course are just six miles away.
Features. Guests ascend winding roads up a mountain to reach the Ridge Tahoe, which is perched at 7,400 to 7,700 feet. Dining options at the resort include a sit down restaurant, a casual deli with pool tables, and a rustic lounge with full bar service. Three computers with high speed Internet are available in the resort's business center for a fee. Guests with kitchens can visit the resort's marketplace for groceries, where they will also find sundries, clothing and video rentals. The resort's clubhouse contains a heated indoor/outdoor pool and a six person spa, and indoor/outdoor tennis courts, basketball courts and putting greens are also available. Children stay busy with their own supervised kid's club, a video arcade, game room and playground.
Guestrooms. Accommodations at Ridge Tahoe feature gas fireplaces and contemporary decor. Suites offer kitchens, separate living areas, and dining areas, and deluxe hotel rooms feature separate sitting areas and kitchenettes with mini refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffeemakers. Three televisions, two VCR/DVD players, and stereo systems come standard in the guestrooms, and all units include wireless and dial up Internet access.
Expert Tip. The Ridge Tahoe offers private shuttle service within the resort, and will transport guests to the casinos in Lake Tahoe for a fee.
