The Catalonia Oro Negro is a modern resort, set adjacent to a wooded 90 hectare, 18 hole golf course, and 500 metres from Las Americas beach in Arona. The 269 guestrooms, renovated in 2004, have modern white decor with cool tiled floors and open onto balconies or terraces. All include cable television, air conditioning, and safes.

The 90 hectare, 18 hole course has a par of 72, and is dotted with palm trees, streams and small waterfalls; there is a driving range beside the clubhouse. The hotel's entertainment programme also includes such activities as aerobics, pool, mini golf, volleyball, table tennis, darts, aqua gym, rifle shooting and water polo. The town centre with its restaurants and bars is 400 metres away, and the beach is 500 metres away. Tenerife Reina Sofia South Airport (TFS) is 17 kilometres from the hotel, 20 minutes by car.
